Fuel used
320.0 L
Fuel cost
€528.00
Cost per km
€0.53
Calculation
Fuel used = distance × consumption ÷ 100
= 1,000 × 32.0 ÷ 100 = 320.00 L
Fuel cost = fuel used × price per litre
= 320.00 × 1.650 = €528.00
Fuel prices are not fetched automatically – enter the price you actually pay. Currencies are labels only; no exchange rates are applied.
EU driving hours planner
Estimate how a trip fits into EU driving and rest rules.
Rules used in this estimate
- Break: at least 45 minutes after 4.5 hours of driving (may be split into 15 + 30 minutes).
- Daily driving: 9 hours, extendable to 10 hours twice per week.
- Daily rest: 11 hours, or reduced 9 hours up to three times between weekly rests.
- Weekly driving: maximum 56 hours; two consecutive weeks: maximum 90 hours.
- Weekly rest: regular weekly rest of at least 45 hours (modelled after six driving days).
Important limitations
This is a planning estimate, not legally compliant scheduling. Real compliance depends on your previous driving history, breaks and rests already taken, other work, split or reduced weekly rests, ferry and train transport, exemptions and national rules, and is recorded by your tachograph. Never rely on trip distance alone.
How the planner works
- 1
Route
Your places are geocoded and a truck-profile route is calculated, including your vehicle dimensions where the routing engine supports them.
- 2
Timing
Driving time is combined with the 45-minute breaks and daily rests of EU rules to estimate when you pass each point.
- 3
Weather
Checkpoints about every 100 km get a forecast for the hour you are expected to be there – not for now.
- 4
Costs
Distance, consumption and your own diesel price give fuel use and cost, updated whenever you change a value.

Frequently asked questions
Is PlanHaul a truck navigation system?
No. PlanHaul is a planning assistant. Routes are approximate and not verified for heavy goods vehicles. Use certified truck navigation and follow road signs while driving.
How is the weather along the route calculated?
We calculate the route, place checkpoints about every 100 km, estimate when you reach each one (including breaks and rests), and fetch the forecast for that hour from Open-Meteo. If the time is beyond the 16-day forecast range, weather is shown as unavailable.
Can I rely on the driving-hours estimate for compliance?
No. It follows the main rules of Regulation (EC) No 561/2006 for a rested driver who only drives. Real compliance needs your driving history, other work and your tachograph.
How is fuel cost calculated?
Fuel used = distance × consumption ÷ 100, and cost = fuel used × your diesel price. We do not guess live fuel prices; you enter your own.
Do you show toll prices?
Not automatically. Without a verified data source we do not invent toll prices. Use the manual toll calculator with the amounts from your toll operator.
Do I need an account?
No. All main tools are free and work without registration.
